Gatekeepers Lodge is in a rural area, local public transport is very limited, so we advise you to bring a car or hire one. Taxi's will be readily available at the ranks on your arrival at the main transportation hubs and cities/towns in the area. However pre-booking  your return/onwards taxi with plenty of advance notice is essential.

 Bristol International Airport. 20 miles away, Approx 40 minutes by car

London Heathrow 99 miles and approx 1hr 45 Mins by car.

We would highly recommend hiring a car.

Alternatively Taxi's  can  readily  be found at the Taxi ranks at Bath/Bristol train stations or airports. (pre-booking your return with plenty of notice  is essential)

Heathrow

National Express Coach is the cheapest   way from Heathrow to Bath approx £12 PP and then you'll need a short 6 mile Taxi to the Lodge

Train, various routes, but you'd normally need to head to Paddington Station in Central London via the Heathrow Express, then Get GWR Train to either Bath Spa, or Bristol Parkway. Taxi to the Lodge

Junction 18 of M4 Motorway

Head South towards Bath on the A46

Approx 4 mins/3 Miles you will see a turning on the right marked  for Dyrham Park National Trust. Do not take this turning. Head approx another 100 yards where you'll see a turning right Marked for Dyrham.

Drive down this narrow steep lane, for approx 1 mile, you'll see a Grass triangle with a Cotswold way signpost and a bench. Turn right here on to Upper Street. Gatekeepers Lodge is 25 yards on the right.
